Leading Wales Awards 2010 Winners Call of the Wild Ltd

Geraint Lewis from Call of the Wild was last week named, not once but twice,  as one of Wales’ top leaders at a prestigious ceremony at Cardiff’s Hilton Hotel.

Geraint at Call of the Wild was recognised for his outstanding leadership in the Business Leadership Initiative  in the Community and Leading Management  and Leadership Skills Development for the Leading Wales Awards 2010. We were the only company to win two awards at the event which is unique.

The Leading Wales Awards recognise great leadership at all levels across the public, private and voluntary sectors in Wales, celebrating individuals whose excellent leadership skills have made a strong impact and resulted in positive change within their organisations. This year the awards have sought people, whose leadership has made a real difference in Wales.

The Outdoors Show 2010 - Free Tickets from Call of the Wild

The Outdoors Show, the UK's largest outdoors show is back and is set to be bigger and better than 2009. The Birmingham NEC will be packed to the rafters with rock and ice climbing walls, woodland rambling trails, gear demos, axe forging, fashion shows, a great British festival, Careers zone, Cycle simulators, brand arenas, tent city, skymasters, The ESP experiment, Wilderness camp, slacklining, participation events. There will also be guest speakers including Joe Simpson, Ben Fogle and James Cracknell

This year you could be going free of charge courtesy of Call of the Wild's partnership with The Outdoors Show! We have 9 pairs of tickets to give away. Geraint Lewis from Call of the Wild Ltd has been shortlisted at the Leading Wales Awards 2010, which recognises and celebrates outstanding leaders across Wales.

Geraint Lewis, Managing Director at Call of the Wild Ltd is one of the three finalists in the “Leading Management and Leadership Skills Development” and “Business Leadership in the Community” categories sponsored by Leadership Management Wales and The Church in Wales respectively.

The Leading Wales Awards recognise great leadership at all levels across the public, private and voluntary sectors in Wales, and celebrate individuals whose leadership skills have made a strong impact and resulted in positive change within their organisations.

Great Comments on the Quality of our Stag Weekend Packages

Don't believe what we say about the quality of our stag weekend packages and ideas then here's some comments from Ed Oldrey who visited us in the Summer of 2009.

 

 

 

 

" Everything went like clockwork and, as Best Man, I couldn’t have wished for a better result.  I must say that you and Call of the Wild in general have been absolutely fantastic and I can’t praise your service highly enough.  The hotel was perfect, the caving activity was brilliant and Swansea was a first-class location for a Stag-weekend.

Please pass on our thanks to Mike, James, Lee for the way they conducted the caving.  They were extremely professional and we all felt very safe under their watch.  We were all hugely impressed by the caves and throroughly enjoyed the caving experience.

 The Swansea night-life was very good, too.  We had a superb meal in La Parilla on Saturday night and we found it very easy getting from the hotel to the various bars in and around Wind Street.  And as we are all used to paying vastly inflated prices for drinks, it was a welcome change to order a round of 16 drinks in Oceana night club and still get change from a £20 note!!

 So once again, many many thanks for organising it all for us.  I would recommend your company to anyone and hope to try more of your activities in the future."

Location of Call of the Wild Adventure Activities

Call of the Wild Adventure Activities are based on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales.This  means we have 519sqm of one of the best natural adventure playgrounds in the UK to play in. This is why it is a leading destination for activity and adventure holidays, stag weekends, hen weekends, team building and corporate events. It is the perfect environment to break free from the pressures of day to day life and experience the rush of the great untamed outdoors.  All this and we are only 3 hours from London by train and 20 minutes off the M4 motorway!

If you want to combine the bright lights of the City with your activity break then we are only 25 minutes from Swansea and 45 minutes from Cardiff. Call of the Wild own 3 properties 25 minutes north of Swansea. You will either be staying in one of these or local hotels in Swansea, Neath, Cardiff or the surrounding area depending on the type of accommodation required. For the activities these principally take place on the southern edge of the Park north of Swansea and Neath.
